MOVING ABROAD

When it comes to moving large volumes or covering long distances, it is preferable to let professional movers take charge of the removal process.

Here are some moving tips to help you prepare for your move:

Prepare at LEAST 3 months in advance:
You may have to obtain visas, work permits or vaccines, or cancel services which require a notice period. Make a list of all you need to do. Being well-organized will help the move go more smoothly.

Sort through your belongings:
Choose which goods you want to bring with you and which goods you want to leave behind, with a friend or in a storage unit.
Seek advice: It might be more advantageous to buy goods instead of transporting them.

Choose the right moving company:
Finding a good moving company is essential to any expatriation project.
Independent regulatory bodies like FIDI will help you find reliable moving companies.
Internal quality processes, specialized packing materials and
a large network will guarantee high standards of quality and service.
But also social media can help you out. On linkedin f.i. you can get in contact with people specialising on different countries. Look for groups concerning EXPATS.

Prevent the risk of breakage:
Zero risk does not exist. But a good packing can reduce it to a minimum.
The only thing that went broken was a cooffee cup when I unpacked at home :) .
Material damage insurance is highly recommended.

The tourism sector in Essaouira, El Jadida-Mazagan enCasablanca grew the most last year. However, top destinies were Marrakech and Agadir with 60% of the nights.
Toerisme brengt 58,2 miljard op aan Marokko

A year earlier, in 2011, 9.3 million tourists visited Morocco and spent 56.7 billion dirham.Morocco is very depending on tourism. Therefore, the Government has developt the "Vision 2020" promotion strategy to get Morocco onto the next level when it comes to tourism.Ambitious target is to get 20 million tourists by 2020 and 150 billion dirham tourist revenues. The Kingdom also wants to get into the top 20 of best destinations in the world.
Morocco still has great potential hidden in places like Fez, the Eastside of the country, upcoming golf sport and is more and more focussing on ECO tourism. There still is a long road to go but it is obvious to every one that this is one of the programs that most easily involves  the lowest social classes where there still needs to be done a lot.

AIR-PORT 2013 in ESSAOUIRA

Ninette Nurk, founder and creative director at Designers Against AIDS and Beauty Without Irony, a Belgian NGO is bringing art to Essaouira.

The project with a big heart will unite Moroccan and international artists (including Olaf Breuning, Daniel Riera, Mustapha Fakir, Mohammed Laouli, Baki, Ben Ali, Felix Richter, Tom Tosseyn, Nick Hannes, Marie-Françoise Plissart, Thierry Van Biesen and many more) as well as young students in an exhibition and in helping concretely some of Essaouira’s most disadvantaged youth get on their feet again and begin a professional life.

After the exhibition the original art works will be auctioned, with the proceeds going to 2 charities, so the most disadvantaged youth in Essaouira will get a chance to step into their adult professional life in the best and healthiest possible way.  One of the charities is the Association Lutte Contre le SIDA (ALCS), as HIV/AIDS is a big problem in Essaouira too, the other charity is called  Project 91.

Essaouira is verry enthousiastic about this and somehow it all comes together.
The energy that is filling the air here is screeming for something more and this wonderfull initiative is just coming as an answer to change lives for the better.
