Take a socially engaged young woman who wants to help the women in a little village outside Essaouira where her mother is raised and her family still lives.
Between Essaouira and Agadir to be more precise. It's astonishing beautiful there and people live at the rhythm of nature and what they were thought from mother to daughter. This means that for women there are three very important things.
Not necessarily in this order and for Europeans like us who want to involve and do ethical responsible business a real lesson in adapting! You can't ask these women to change everything they believe in,their tradition, their culture,their being.
If one of them turns ill, all others are there, just to help the woman and her family and business is low! They split up in teams to take care of the family, the cooking and cleaning, the travel to the hospital, the children...
And when one starts to play music, they all come rushing to join, sing and dance!
So before we start telling you all about the Argan, the area where the Argan tree grows (our area ;) ) we thought it would be nice to show you the cooperative that we want to support.
Support in their development, support in the construction of their new to build workspace and workshop/restaurant, support in exporting their oil, and learn from them how to stay down to earth!
Do you know that an Argan tree produces an average 32 kg of nuts, which is equivalent to 1 liter of oil!
